Originally built by wealthy planters and northern industrialists, Monticello is recognized as having some of the finest structural examples of the period anywhere. Come and be amazed at what has been reported to be one of the highest Indian mounds in the entire country, dating back over 1,000 years. Letchworth mounds are something to experience. Do old cemeteries interest you?  Our 1827 cemetery is something to see. Ask Scotty while visiting to show you this civil war, slave cemetery. It is truly something to see. At The Daffodale house estate you can enjoy breakfast in the garden or on the front wrap around porch.
